Ice, ink and a cooker set at high!

I started to consider using ice round about this point because of its obvious dual nature water/solid that everyone can understand on a visual level.

This threw up questions of how to present and to document this. After some thought i decided to freeze some water with black ink mixed through.

In order to speed the process up I then took the frozen water/ink placed on a cooking tray on top of my cooker and set all rings to high!

By speeding things up like this i was able to quickly observe the transformation of the water from solid to liquid with the additional benefit of the 'drawings' left behing on the paper by the ink.

However even although this provided some success the fumes also caused my throat to swell up!!
